The first classroom was put in use.
Our students Yubo Guo, Yunyang Tang, Feng Huang won the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prizes respectively in Vancouver 5th Chinese Calligraphy Competition.
Our students Wenyan Zho, Yiwen Fei, Mingquan Liu, and Yongyue Lin won the “Best Creative” and “Most Favored Celebrity” awards respectively in the 3rd Canadian Teenager Creative Competition.
In the China International Teenager Art Exhibition, sponsored jointly by China and UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization). Our student Ruhan Sun won the Silver prize in the children’s group. Yixin Wu, Xinyue Luo, Zengjin Chen, and Junhao Qiu won the Bronze prize in junior, middle, and elementary group. Yongyue Lin, along with other nine students won the Excellence prize of the event.
In the Mother’s Day Painting Competition held in Vancouver, our student Shirley Wang won the first prize of the intermediate group.
In the 2008 China International Teenager Art’s Exhibition held jointly by America, Korea, Germany, and China, students from Meng’s institute have won five gold prizes, 12 silver prizes, 10 bronze prizes, and 19 excellence prizes, 46 prizes in total.
In the 3rd China International Teenager Comics Competition, students from Meng’s institute won one grand prize, two gold prizes, five silver prizes, seven bronze prizes and 27 excellence prizes. The international painting competition attracted 20,000 teenagers from 34 countries to participate. With all 42 awards, Meng’s students won the highest and most awards. The number of the winners from Meng’s institute ranked 2nd among 34 countries.
Through five years’ thorough research and experiments, the teaching system of Meng’ potential painting has fully entered the stage of practice and promotion.
In the 3rd China’s International Children and Teenager Art Exhibition held by UNESCO, UNESCO-APNIEVE, Asia-Pacific Association for International Education (APAIE) and China in Shanghai, Meng’s students won three gold medals, three silver, three bronze and 32 excellence awards.
Canada Essential-Qualities-Oriented Education Association was founded. The president of Meng’s Art Institute Inc. serves as the chairman of the association.
More than 100 students from Meng’s institute attended the 1st Vancouver Rising Stars —Canada’s Teenager Arts Competition, and won 36 awards
300 college students participated in the 3rd International Angel Cup Painting Competition, won 14 gold, 26 silver, 47 bronze, 32 3rd prize, and 19 excellence award. Mr. Weizhang Meng was awarded Excellent Guidance Teacher.
In the 1st World Cup Live Painting Competition, students from Meng’s institute won a total of six gold medals, seven silver medals and 10 bronze medals.
December 1, 2012, the day of the international works review of Emily Carr University of Art and Design, eight students from Meng’s institute attended the interview of, and six of them gained early admission,
December 2012, Lucy Ge from Meng’s Burnaby Campus gained early admission to Rhode Island School of Art and Design, the No.1 art school in the US.
Eight students were admitted to top US schools. Lucy Ge, Colby Wong were admitted to Rhode Island School of Art and Design; Lily Shi was admitted to architectural design major of Cornell University and Princeton University; Yuanwei Huang was admitted to the School of the Art Institute of Chicago; Jessica Chen, Ginger Lin, Jue Wang, and Xinyun Huang were admitted to Emily Carr University of Art and Design, a top Canadian arts university; Eric Sun was admitted to NSCAD University (Nova Scotia College of Art and Design).
Seven students from Meng’s institute were admitted to the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, the 2nd best arts school in the world, which accounts for 1% of global share of admissions. It has created a miracle that one institute made it possible to send seven students to one top North American university.
